Slipknot.
Bloody hell, this is really getting out of hand.
It just came to my notice that some fellow maggots have unearthed some new, hidden shit from Slipknot. Maybe it is not that new, but to my damn knowledge it is.
Slipknot has always packed numerous surprises in their albums, they thrive on gimmicks, and we, the fans, appreciate them. At least I know I do.
Slipknot has never officially announced the existence of such stuff, and that is the thrilling part. We have to uncover these well-hidden little treasures ourselves. Brilliant.
Firstly, there are the hidden tracks. An example would be 'Eeyore'; you would have to fast-forward through about 15 minutes of silence from the last track to get to get to this gem of a track.
Other gnarly shit includes the meaning of their songs; most of which are outstandingly meaningful and poignant. Each track, phrase and word utter bear with them a message, of which are pregnant with meaning.
Then there are the masks, the uniformed jumpsuitsnumberinggs and shit. The reason for the mask is fairly simple; they prefer the attention to be focused upon their music instead of their appearances. They are good looking bastards, but they abhor the thought of having fans that are attracted by their looks instead of their music.
There is also the symbols and numbers that add up to reveal buried meanings and stuff. And fans are affectionately labeled 'Maggots' as they feed off music. It may somderogatoryry to some, but I am damn proud to a one.
Okay, now to what I have discovered. Certain parts of their lyrics, when played backwards, reveal a hidden message. Wow.
In the track 'Circle', where the lyrics go "Give me the dust of my fathers", is a hidden message. If you reverse it, it goes "Motherfucker". In your face, you bet. Subliminal? Definitely.
Then there is the track 'Iowa' from the album that goes by the same name. This track is an instrumental piece that involves all nine members simultaneously, well, that is merely for your information. Well, there is this bit in it where Corey gibbers, or so I thought, we thought. Following this revelation, we understand that he is saying, "Don't look at me", when played backwards, of course.
In 'Skin Ticket', "Keeping myself alive" when played backwards magically transforms into "I love myself".
And lastly, from 'Disasterpiece', "Hate ain't enough to describe me" is "What is going around" when played backwards.

There is so much to Slipknot, if only you would take the time to appreciate and unravel them.
The reigning heavyweights in the industry; they are practically a band formed of virtuosos. Each single member is an absolute master of his craft, like Mick Thomson, Joseph Jordison and Corey Taylor. They are in the top echelon of their field.
They just get better and better, going from strength to strength.
Put them all together and you get the greatest and most awesome band in this universe; the everlasting Slipknot.
