I gave him some coins after watching him perform at the Sembawang MRT station. I was with Sharifah.
I gave, not out of sympathy, but out of respect and admiration.
Some might say that he is ill-fated; plagued with his blindness, being rendered handicapped and all.
However, I say that he is exceptional. He valiantly faces each new day with courage - unyielding, radiating such positiveness and spirit. That, coupled with the fact that he is talented, is the reason for me regarding him so highly.
What he is doing is a far cry from being an easy job; remaining at a similar spot and continually performing for hours at a single go, simultaneously maintaining such impressive guitar-work, vocals and showmanship.
We really could learn a great deal from him, this truly especial individual.
